Filt1860 - Biodegradable Nets for Aquaculture and the Blue Economy

As part of the FILL project, Filt1860 is developing biodegradable nets for aquaculture, supported by the European programme FEAMPA. Thus, these biodegradable nets for aquaculture address current environmental challenges and strengthen the blue economy.

The FILL Project : biodegradable nets for aquaculture

The FILL project embodies Filt1860’s commitment to more sustainable aquaculture. Its goal : developing biodegradable nets for aquaculture that reduce plastic pollution while maintaining the technical performance required by professionals. This programme is supported by the   EMFAF – Research & Innovation.

A collective and regional commitment

This project brings together several partners : ComposiTIC, Synergie Mer et Littoral (SMEL), NaturePlast, the Regional Shellfish Committee of Normandie-Hauts-de-France and CETI. Together, they work towards the development of innovative and environmentally friendly nets.

A commitment rooted in Filt1860's history

For more than 160 years, Filt1860 has put its textile expertise at the service of maritime solutions : aquaculture nets, responsible packaging, environmental protection devices. The FILL project extends this history by combining textile tradition and sustainable innovation.
